OLF Beauty & Hair (“OLF”, “we”, “us”) is a braiding studio at 4500 Forbes Blvd, Suite L35, Lanham, MD 20706. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website, book an appointment, message us or receive our text messages, and how we use it.
What we collect
- Details you give us: your name, mobile number, email, the style you want, your appointment time, notes, and your address if you book a house call.
- Your account, if you create one: your email and the appointments and loyalty points linked to it.
- Questions you type into the “Ask OLF” assistant. These are used only to answer you and are not linked to your name.
- Basic technical data from your browser (such as pages visited and device type) that our hosting provider records to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To confirm, remind you about, change or cancel your appointments.
- To answer your questions and messages.
- To run our loyalty program (points for completed visits).
- If you agree to it, to send you offers and news by text or email. You can stop at any time.
- To keep our records, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
Text messages (SMS)
We only text you if you ticked a texting box on our booking or contact form, or asked us to text you. Appointment texts and marketing texts are separate choices. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except the service providers that deliver our messages for us.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, such as website hosting, our booking database, our customer messaging system (used to send confirmations and reminders), and payment processing if you pay online. They may use it only to provide their service to us. We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and client records for as long as you are a client and for a reasonable time after, so we can see your history and loyalty points. Ask us and we will delete your information unless we must keep it by law.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from texts by replying STOP, or from emails with the unsubscribe link.
- Ask to see, correct or delete your information by contacting us.
Children
We braid children's hair, but bookings must be made by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.
Security
We use secure (HTTPS) connections and limit access to client information to OLF staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
